A cover is a great way to protect your RV from the elements. It will block the sun’s harmful UV rays that dry out the roof sealant and any rubber and plastic parts. Once they are dried out, they become brittle and crack. Then water can seep in and destroy the RV over time.

When choosing a cover, don’t measure the entire trailer. You only need to find out how far it is from the front wall to the rear wall.

Example:

25′ 9″ – Coupler to bumper
23′ 0″ – Front wall to rear wall
22-24′ – Size of the cover on my trailer. (As you can see it extends over the propane tanks and coupler).

Here are some tips when using an RV cover:

Pool noodle
Protects the cover where the downspout rubs.

Lower and seal the radio antenna on older trailer models

Raise the nose of the trailer a little so the water can flow easier in the rain gutters.
